Nils Buchner is a craftsman, artist and object designer, born in Nordhorn in 1990. His work brings together traditional craftsmanship, artistic expression and functional design.

He began with an apprenticeship in carpentry, where he developed a deep understanding of materials and how to work with them. He went on to study product design with a focus on interiors, expanding his approach to form, function and aesthetics. These experiences shaped his belief that craft and design belong together.

Since then, Nils has explored ceramics, silversmithing, metalwork, woodturning and sculpture. Each discipline has influenced his intuitive, experimental approach. Since 2022, he has focused on sculpture and object design, combining raw materials with precise craftsmanship to create pieces that move between art and function.

Alongside his own practice, Nils leads workshops that invite others to explore materials and traditional techniques for themselves. Whether working with wood, metal or stone, he approaches each material with curiosity. Its character guides a process in which traditional techniques and contemporary forms come together.
